SAWiT.AI and AICTE Join Forces to Empower 1.6 Million Women

SAWiT (South Asian Women in Tech) and GUVI have partnered to launch SAWiT.AI, the world’s largest women-only Generative AI learning challenge. This initiative invites over 1.6 million women students from AICTE-affiliated institutions to participate in a comprehensive AI training program, scheduled for September 21. The program, which is free and online, aims to upskill 500,000 women in Generative AI across six Indian languages and English.

The AICTE-SAWiT.AI collaboration provides several benefits: it prepares students for the evolving job market, enhances their skills and employability, and offers academic credit for completing the 15-hour course. Participating institutions will also benefit from curriculum enrichment and the opportunity to join the SAWiT hackathon in October 2024.

AICTE Chairman Prof. T.G. Sitharam and GUVI COO Anitha Natarajan highlighted the initiative's role in advancing women’s AI skills and supporting India’s AI ambitions.
